Very promising future for indie film producers. Mark Ruffalo recently stated that more notable actors should take a bigger risk and work on indie films during the SAG Strike. SAG defines an indie film under $2 million ($3 million with a diverse cast).

Most films in that range can only afford one Schedule F (flat rate of $65,000.00 for a notable actor). Actors like filmmakers have to adapt to the market! If notable actors and indie film producers create their own agreement we have negotiating power!

There is going to be a huge gap in movies in the next 6-12 months and if you sign a SAG waiver and agree to the terms they want the studios to follow you should be allowed to have a SAG signatory.

Things are changing and there is an opportunity to make a living and create amazing cinema!
